I’m Phil.
I’m an Instructional Designer and e-Learning Developer who can solve your problems with skill, knowledge, and training gaps.
About Me
I have a passion for designing impactful learning experiences. After 17+ years of experience working with adult learners, I make complex ideas accessible and entertaining. Additionally, I have strong knowledge of learning theory, authoring tools including Articulate Storyline, and graphic design principles. My educational background—including a PhD in Media, Technology, and Society—reflects a lifelong interest in understanding and sharing about how people relate to technology. Additionally, my knowledge of entertainment strategies, including humor, gives me special insight into keeping learners engaged to increase knowledge retention.
When working with a client, I begin with a needs assessment where we identify skill and knowledge gaps and set clear goals in order to ensure that we are solving the specific problems you face. I will then take you through design, development, implementation, and evaluation of the learning experience. Every step of the way, I'll work closely with your subject matter experts and other stakeholders in order to ensure that you get exactly what you want.
I also have a son and partner I adore, collect records, wrote a book about comedy, and recently started biking everywhere.
